Sometimes I come across a blog that just makes me giddy with its sensibilities, and I have a new discovery:
My Love-Haunted Heart, a blog devoted to classic gothic paperbacks.
I love gothic covers because they're so unlike the poster-style art of today; they always bespoke a tempestuous mood, always in an original painting.
Sometimes I wish I could have an alternate Alex Van Helsing cover in the style it would have had in the 60s. I suspect there would be torches and a castle.
